Cabinets have dedicated biometric readers; one bus controller for up to 64 cabinet doors reduces cost.
To reduce cost on larger installations with server cabinets arranged in rows, the Digitus db Bus - Cabinet-level access controller features either a biometric reader or an electro-mechanical lock for each door and a single controller that operates up to 64 devices.
An authorized user initiates cabinet access by scanning a fingerprint on the locking swinghandle’s biometric reader. A sophisticated bus architecture distributes fail-safe control signals and electrical power to the door lock. One controller manages up to 64 readers and locks, reducing cost by eliminating the need for a controller and IP address at each cabinet.
